THE ROYAL ART OF RIDING - A Journey into the Past
Throughout the history of man's development, he has repeatedly tried to combine his own abilities with those of the powerful, manoeuvrable and fast horse. Since ancient times, the technique on horseback has been developed into an art.
Until recent history, however, elegant and skilful riding was still predominantly a privilege of the nobility, kings and rulers.
Bent Branderup, one of today's best school riders, slips into the role of aristocrats and lets us experience how they sat on horseback, the once powerful people of bygone eras.
A film was made at original locations in which the great era of courtly equestrianism is brought back to life. Historical pictures and paintings are brought to life and allow the art of riding to become a reflection of its respective era.
Representatives of ancient horse breeds such as Knabstruppers, Arabians and Andalusians present themselves as four-legged ballet dancers.
Follow us back to a time when riding was not yet a sport, but first and foremost an art.

Wunderschön, nicht nur eine Dokumentation, ein Kunstwerk. Ich habe schon lange vor, dieses Land mit dem Fahrrad zu bereisen und hoffe auf eine bessere politische Situation in näherer Zukunft. Mais non! l'école portugaise est plus ancienne, elle est basée sur les enseignements du roi D. Duarte (1438) et l'ouvrage de base est celui du Marquês de Marialva, le premier traité scientifique sur l'équitation.
@@carlosf7916 certes mais l'ancienneté ne fait pas tout,le grand maître Nuno Oliveira est clairement dans l'influence de la Gueriniere ( épaule en dedans...) et de la virtuosité de Baucher( galop sur place ,en arrière...etc) le tout dans la légèreté principe essentiel de la grande tradition française d'art équestre)

Ich war auf etlichen Kreuzfahrtschiffen, aber niemals auf einer der großen schwimmenden Schuhkartons. Die Mona Lisa war vielleicht sogar das schönste, alles aus Holz, und mit einer so positiven Atmosphäre.

Ich war mit meiner Frau 2005 im Juli für 12 Tage auf diesem wunscherschönen Schiff. Es war eine Kreuzfahrt zum Nordkap. Ich habe selbst einen Film auf UA-cam eingestgellt. Kreuzfahrt -Nordkap-Mona Lisa. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Leider gibt es das Schiff nicht mehr.
